“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

-Matthew 25:40

Whom We Serve

  • Pantry and Clothes Closet

We welcome our neighbors weekly on Wednesdays from 9am-11am.

  • Environmental Justice

We are an Earth Care congregation, and we commit to caring for and nurturing God’s creation.

  • Mission Partners

We partner with local, national, and global organizations to to leverage our resources to shape a better world.

  • Affiliate Organizations

Central proudly supports our tenants and community partners.

Outside of our weekly Pantry and Clothes Closet, we do not offer other assistance. If you are in need of utility, rent, or other assistance (including senior, LGBTQ+, and digital resources), we recommend using the Kansas City Public Library Street Sheet, which is updated quarterly and can be found at the following website: KCPL Street Sheet. After clicking the link, you will be redirected to a new window or tab.

As we embrace our call as a Matthew 25 congregation, we are honored to partner and engage with numerous organizations within our local and global communities. Previous organizations we have supported through our grant funding program have exemplified our vision, Where Love and Justice is Central, by advocating for vulnerable populations, eliminating food insecurity, practicing earth care, and more.

At this time, our Outreach Committee has found itself in a period of restructuring our model of benevolence giving, and we are placing our grant funding program on hiatus. During our upcoming meetings, we will explore ways in which we can support organizations with long-term impact in mind. Please stay tuned for what is to come!
